Storing your belongings has become an intrinsic part of the removals and storage process. We all know buying and selling your home in a tricky market can be fraught and often the sale and purchase do not always coincide leaving a period where you may need your furniture and treasured possessions looking after during the intervening period.
Some people find it useful to declutter their homes before your house goes on the market which many estate agents advise can help the sale process.
We have a large and secure warehouse based next to the Station in Gillingham where we normally store your belongings in wooden containers as you can see in the picture. These containers are 8 ft high and 5ft by 7ft at the base giving those of you who are good a maths just over 250 cubic feet of space.
Our storage service uses specially designed trucks to carry the empty containers to your home where we will load your items and make a careful inventory of the items stored in each container before we return to our storage unit. The box is sealed before we leave your home giving you absolute piece of mind your possessions are secure whilst in our custody.
Some items like curtains or indeed pianos need greater care. We will label and hang your curtains as in the picture below and place your piano in our temperature controlled piano room.
When you want your belongings returned we simply reverse the process, using a fork lift truck to load your container back onto the truck and returning it to your new home when you are ready. We will break the seal in your presence and tick off all the items as they are unloaded against the original inventory list leaving nothing to chance.
